Travel Directions to Scraptoft Natural Burial Ground

1. From Leicester Leave Leicester heading east on the A47 Humberstone Road (which becomes the Uppingham Road). Passing Humberstone Park on your right, take the left fork onto Scraptoft Lane.

After a mile, turn left into Scraptoft village (signposted). Follow the main road round to the right onto Main Street, then left onto Beeby Road.

After half a mile, ignore a left turn next to a golf course sign, and follow the road right and down the hill. The burial ground is signposted on the right.

2. From A47 and east of Leicester Heading for Leicester along the A47, turn right at the traffic lights before Coles’ Nursery, and head along Station Road.

At the end of Station Road, bear left at the mini-roundabout and first right into Scraptoft village (signposted). Follow the main road round to the right onto Main Street, then left onto Beeby Road.

After half a mile, ignore a left turn next to a golf course sign, and follow the road right and down the hill. The burial ground is signposted on the right.

3. From north of Leicester From the M1 southbound, take J22 and the A50 heading towards Leicester. Turning left at a large roundabout, and down a slip road, take the A46 east towards Syston.

At the ‘Hobby Horse’ roundabout at Syston, take the A607 to Leicester. Follow the A607 to a large traffic light crossroads with the ring-road (left to GE Lighting). Turn left onto the A563 (Troon Way), and continue until the crossroads with Scraptoft Lane (after McDonalds).

Turn left along Scraptoft Lane, and after a mile turn left into Scraptoft village (signposted). Follow the main road round to the right onto Main Street, then left onto Beeby Road.

After half a mile, ignore a left turn next to a golf course sign, and follow the road right and down the hill. The burial ground is signposted on the right.
