Large memorial plaques are available, made from natural slate, and engraved with your choice of words. These plaques are erected on one of the many memorial posts on the site, usually near to the plot you have chosen.
Bird nesting boxes and bat roosting boxes are also available, and provide a very practical and conservation minded memorial to a loved one buried at one of our natural burial grounds. These items are placed either on mature trees that already exist on the burial grounds or on trees that have been planted as part of the establishment of the grounds themselves.
Many people choose a memorial tree to be planted on the grave as a living reminder of a loved one that itself will support life well into the future, providing habitats and shelter for many species of birds, other wildlife as well as flora and fauna.
Memorial trees can also be planted elsewhere on the natural burial grounds, away from the areas dedicated to burials. It is not necessary to have a family member or loved one buried on the site to choose this popular option, and indeed all of our memorial items on our burial grounds, including bird nesting boxes, bat roosting boxes, benches, plaques both large and small are placed in the grounds simply to provide a fitting memorial to a loved one, maybe to be visited from time to time and so offer a peaceful place of natural beauty to remember your loved ones by.
We are all becoming more environmentally conscious. Greater awareness and understanding of the importance of helping to care for our planet is resulting in people making more environmentally friendly choices.
Natural burial is not just better for the environment, its also often cheaper than traditional burial.
Woodland burial and all manner of natural burial services continue to help and support the bereaved and the environment. Direct natural burial supports the environment whilst helping alleviate funeral poverty and caring for the environment and encouraging nature.
Caring for the environment is key to everything we do. Therefore, we are very proud to have joined The Great Big Green Week which will be taking place countrywide in
