Only small slate memorial plaques can be used in association with tree memorials. They are mounted on a short post at the base of a tree and can be engraved with an appropriate inscription, memorialising a loved one. These fitting memorials mean that the burial grounds maintain their natural ethos and feel, whilst offering family and friends a way to remember and reflect.
Only large memorial plaques can be mounted on the large memorial posts, several of which are located around the burial grounds. These posts provide focal points in the grounds themselves and can be found at the principal spots dotted throughout, a wonderful alternative for those who want to inscribe a few words commemorating the life or simply a memory of a dearly departed friend or member of the family.
We also offer posts with small memorial plaques for cremated remains plots, which similarly allow one to write a few carefully chosen words that appropriately honour the deceased.
Please note that trees are usually planted twice a year, from October through March as this is the best season to allow a tree to properly establish its roots before it then begins its main annual growth period in the following spring and summer. Time must also be set aside for the ground around the grave to settle, a minimum of 6 months is needed from the time of a burial before the tree is planted.
Any of the above designs are permitted on the memorial plaques.
